Is Pride a Thing of Pride Or is it Pride of Ignorance?

Is Pride a Thing of Pride Or is it Pride of Ignorance? When it comes to essays, some people are afraid to even take the time to write an essay on the topic of pride goes before a fall. The fear is in the fact that they do not know what fall will bring. But it is not the fall that causes pride to go before a fall; it is the effect of the fall on pride.Pride is defined as 'self-confidence'. A person with pride has a positive attitude towards his/her own abilities. They are self-confident. An example of pride would be to pick up an item off the floor without a second thought. To not show any signs of self-pity or the inability to accomplish something. Now let us use the example of pride again. It is a positive attitude to be confident enough to put a bet on a game you are interested in watching, after reading a newspaper advertisement, someone playing in the Super Bowl. People with a good self-confidence would know it is safe to place their money on a game they are particularly interested in watching, but not if you are not interested in it. And this is the very essence of pride. Now if a person was not very confident about something, would he/she still call it pride? Of course not! So pride is not really about confidence at all. Pride is based on something else. It is based on the power of self-confidence and that is self-preservation, for it is the opposite of what we are most prone to fear. This brings us to the next point: a fall comes from the opposite, something that could harm us. For example, we have gotten into an accident and hurt ourselves physically. Our pride tells us we are fine and that we can go on as before. That is nothing but arrogance and pride. In order to get through the embarrassment and feelings of pain, we have to pay a visit to our doctor, to the hospital and see our doctors.By the way, those people who suffer a fall often turn out to be more arrogant than those who have never fallen. Sometimes they fall down in front of the media and make th emselves look foolish. The result of such low spirits is a loss of pride. That is why some say it is better to suffer a little embarrassment than to pride ourselves. So now you have a clear picture on pride. If you have been reading your history books, pride has always been associated with arrogance. Pride makes us arrogant people are often afraid to admit they are wrong or uncertain. To finally answer the question: is pride a thing of pride or is it pride of ignorance? For we often find ourselves asking ourselves the question: why do I pride myself? And sometimes, we get it right. But oftentimes, it is just a simple act of vanity.
